Many of the homes we clean are older houses in suburbs like Canterbury, Camberwell, Balwyn and Kew. They carry a lot of glass: timber sash windows, leadlight, bay windows and wide rear glazing opening onto the garden. That is why you notice when it is dirty, and why a rushed job shows up straight away.
What a clean covers
The glass, the frames and the sills on the outside of the house, on every job.
Leave grime sitting in the frame above a clean pane and the next good rain washes it straight back down over the window you just paid for. So we always do them together.
Fly screens are moved aside for the clean, or taken out when they are being washed. They go back where they came from afterwards. Washing the screens is a paid add-on: each one goes through a screen washing machine and the frame is wiped dry. Ask for it when you call.

Pure water, and why the glass dries clear
Tap water leaves spots, because the minerals in it stay behind as the water dries. That is why hosing windows down never really works.
Our pole runs on tap water passed through a filter that takes the minerals out, and we test the water every day. With nothing left in it, the water dries off the glass without spots, and there is no soap to leave a film. Plan clients get this finish on every clean: we call it CLEARWATER RainBlock Tech.
Done from the ground
Most windows up to three storeys are done from the ground with a water-fed pole. Nothing rests on your gutters, and nothing leans against render or leadlight that could mark it. For most double storey homes around here, the whole house gets done this way.
