How the work is done
Most outside glass is done with pure water, tested at the start of each day. Tap water carries minerals that dry on glass as spots, which is what produces the streaks you get from washing with a hose. Pure water dries clear without towelling, and no detergent is left on the glass.
Most glass up to three storeys is reached with a water-fed pole from ground level, so nothing rests against your building. Frames and sills are cleaned as part of every visit. Where a pole cannot reach, we tell you at quote stage.
Working around your opening hours
We work Monday to Friday. Shops and cafes usually want us before the doors open, or at a quiet time. Tell us what suits and we will plan around it, so your staff and customers are not stepping around equipment.
Apartment and strata buildings
We quote low-rise apartment and strata buildings one building at a time. We count the glass on every side, and the balcony glass separately.
Windows are cleaned with a water-fed pole from the ground. Balcony glass is cleaned by hand from each balcony. Where we need to come through apartments, we agree a time window with the manager first.
You get one quote with a list of what it covers, one invoice and one person to call. If residents would like their own apartment interiors done on the same day, that can be quoted and paid separately.
If you manage the building, we can liaise with tenants or your building manager directly, so the coordination does not land on your desk.
Quoting and frequency
Every building is different, so we work out a figure for yours. Pane count, inside or outside, height, access and how often we come all change the work involved.
Send photographs or let us walk the site with you, and you will receive a written quote you can budget against.
For recurring work we recommend a frequency based on the building and the street it sits on. If quarterly is enough, we will say quarterly.
