Window sill cleaning comes with every exterior window clean. The outside frames and sills are wiped as each window is done, and the inside ones are wiped when you add an interior clean.
Track detailing is a separate add-on. We brush, vacuum, scrub and dry every window and sliding door track in the house. It suits sliding doors that have gone heavy, and tracks that have not been touched in years.
Why the frame matters as much as the glass
Clean glass sitting in a dirty frame looks finished for about a week. Then the first real rain runs down through the grime in the frame and the sill, and puts it straight back across the glass you just paid for. So the frame and the sill are always done with the glass.
What is in your window track
Grit, sand, dead insects, hair, and whatever the wind brought in. Packed down hard, often damp, and usually worse at the ends of the channel.
That mix is gritty, and grit is what wears out the rollers.
Sticking windows are often full, not broken
When a sliding door gets heavy or a window stops running smoothly, most people assume the rollers have failed. Often they have not. The channel is packed with grit and the rollers are grinding through it.
Clearing the track often fixes the sliding on its own. It also stops the grit wearing the rollers down, and replacing rollers on a large sliding door is an expensive job.
How the track work is done
Each window is opened fully so the whole track is showing. The track is dry brushed to loosen what is packed in, then vacuumed. Then a little cleaning solution goes in and the track is scrubbed with a stiff brush, right into the edges. The dirty water is vacuumed out, the corners are scraped with a cloth-covered tool, and the track is wiped clean and dry.
It covers every track in the home, and there is no quick version that works. That is why it is quoted separately from the glass.
Having it done
Most people add the track detail to a window clean. Mention it when you book and we will quote it alongside the glass, then do both in the one visit.
